Our Staff

Todd Jersey | Lead Designer

In 1996, Todd Jersey, Principal of Todd Jersey Architecture (a leading green architecture firm), put his commitment to the health of our environment and the education of our children into action by creating The Living Laboratories Project (Living Labs). Todd continues his involvement today through his active support and hands-on engagement with the organization and its programs.

Trey Farmer | Project Director

In 2009, Trey Farmer happily accepted the challenge of taking Living Labs to the next level. Since becoming Project Director, he has worked closely with schools in Oakland, Albany and Martinez. Trey is passionate about people and thoughtful design as the crucial tools for regenerating our degraded landscapes and human relationships with our surroundings. He is an aspiring architect, a candidate for his MA in Ecological Design, a permaculture designer, and a writer for inhabitat.com. He is regularly inspired by Ed Abbey, Masanobu Fukouka, Malcolm Wells, Christopher Alexander, the moonlight on water, eating in the garden, his family and friends and the Great Mystery.

Adrienne Lee

Our newest addition to the team is Adrienne Lee, Associate Director and Curriculum Coordinator. Her love of food, nature, learning, and community has intersected in meaningful ways and fed her hearty appetite for discovery and wisdom. Adrienne studied Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts at Bauman College in Berkeley and serves as their Outreach Representative for the San Francisco Bay Area. Adrienne has also developed curriculum for youth health and wellness programs. Around the East Bay, you'll find Adrienne milking goats, cooking food and making medicine from the garden, testing new uses for coconuts, and spreading the message on what it means to be a conscious carnivore.
